Common questions

Help & usage questions

Quick answers to the things new users ask most. Still stuck? Support details are at the bottom of the page.

Where do I find my Property ID and Meter number?
Both are printed on your water bill or rates notice. The Property ID (sometimes shown as PID) identifies your connection, and the Meter number is printed on the meter itself and on your bill. Enter them on the Claim a meter screen to link your property.
What does a leak alert mean?
Water Logged watches your meter for unusual, continuous flow - the kind that often signals a leaking toilet, dripping fitting or underground pipe. When the Home tab shows anything other than No leak detected, it's worth checking your taps and toilets, and contacting a plumber if you can't find an obvious cause. Catching it early keeps both water and your bill down.
Why is my usage compared to my area?
The comparison gives your numbers context. On its own, "1,568 litres a day" is hard to judge - seeing it against the previous quarter and against similar households nearby tells you whether you're tracking high, low or about normal. It's a guide, not a target: a big garden, a pool or a larger household will naturally use more.
What's the difference between flat-rate and volumetric?
Flat-rate means you pay a fixed charge each quarter regardless of how much you use. Volumetric means you pay for the actual volume of water you use, usually per cubic metre (m³). The Billing tab shows both side by side for your connection so you can see how they compare for your usage. Your actual charging method is set by your water utility.
How do I read the consumption charts?
The line chart on Readings shows cumulative meter readings - so it always climbs; a steeper slope means heavier use over that stretch. Switch between 7 days, 30 days and 12 months to zoom in or out. The bar chart below shows how much you used in each month, quarter by quarter.
Can I export my readings?
Yes. On the Readings tab, tap Export CSV to download your readings and billing data as a spreadsheet file you can open in Excel, Numbers or Google Sheets.
How do I add a second property?
Open the Profile tab and tap Claim a meter, then enter the Property ID and Meter number for the other connection. You can link several meters to one account - handy if you own a rental or more than one property - and switch between them in the app.
I'm moving house - what should I do?
Use the Moving option in your Profile to let your water utility know about a change of address. At your new place, claim that property's meter to start tracking it.
Is GST included, and how is cost estimated?
Costs shown in the app are estimates including GST, based on your meter readings and your connection's rate. They're there to help you plan - your actual bill from your water utility is the final word.
How do I change my password or sign-in?
Head to the Profile tab and tap Change password to update your login credentials. You can also see your sign-in method and when you last signed in there.

Still need a hand?

If something isn't adding up, your water utility can help with your connection, readings or bill. Open the Support option in the app's Profile tab for their contact details.
